The GANZ Code of Ethics sets out an ethical framework for the clinical and management governance of GANZ and for the professional practice of GANZ members. In doing so it also covers the ethical governance practices and requirements of GANZ itself and its officers. It is intended to inform the practice of each GANZ member. In many instances, issues arise that can be viewed and/or challenged from both legal and ethical standpoints. Practitioner are required to view these guidelines in light of relevant state and federal legislation in Australian and New Zealand, and to seek competent, qualified advice as to which provisions may prevail in any given instance.
GANZ is responsible for receiving, investigating and hearing complaints regarding the conduct of its members. When an individual wishes to make a complaint about a PACFA Registrant, the complaint is to be submitted and heard by the PACFA Member Association to which the practitioner belongs. Only in circumstances where GANZ is unable to hear the complaint will PACFA consider a complaint regarding a PACFA Registrant. Making a Complaint
GANZ is responsible for hearing complaints directed at a GANZ member. Please check that the practitioner you are complaining about is a GANZ member by contacting GANZ prior to proceeding with a formal complaint. To download the current complaints form, please click here.
