Under the current constitution the following membership categories apply. This is likely to change under the proposed new structure of GANZ.
Graduate Membership is available to those who have graduated from a GANZ accredited course (minimum of 600 hours over 4 years, with a minimum of 40 hours of client work and 10 hours of supervision).
Membership is available to those who have completed 200 hours of client work and 50 hours of supervision, in addition to having graduated from a GANZ accredited training course.
In addition to the requirements for Membership, Clinical applicants need to have completed a further 75 hours of professional development (of a gestalt nature), and an additional 750 client hours and 75 hours of supervision over a minimum of 2 years. For the supervision component, 25 hours need to be completed with a GANZ Clinical Member. Of the total hours required, 50 need to be undertaken in individual supervision.
Organisation membership is a special category available to those who work primarily as organisational consultants or coaches. It is available to those who in addition to having graduated for a GANZ accredited training course, have completed 200 hours of client work (defined as individual coaching clients within organisations, work teams or whole organisations) and 50 hours of supervision.
Student Membership is available to those currently available in GANZ accredited training courses.
Associate membership is available to those who have undertaken some gestalt training with a GANZ accredited course, but who are not currently studying and who have not yet met the requirements for graduate membership.
